February 2013 Goals

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale (PS3/Vita)- Platinum both versions of the game. I will count each version as beat when I get all the trophies for clearing each character’s arcade mode in the respective version.

Fluidity: Spin Cycle (3DSDL)- My first goal in this game is to get all the Rainbow Drops (beat all 60 stages), and after that or maybe along the way I’ll get the puzzle pieces, I’m still debating if I want to go for completion right now, and get all the 5 star ranks (basically a time trial through each stage). The reason I’m debating it is since some of them can be rough, but we’ll see, I think, I have it in me to do it.

Jetpack Joyride (PSVita)- My only goal this month is to clear all the missions once (there is a trophy for that). After that I will count it as beat on my Backloggery. Completion will be all trophies (since it requires buying all items).

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years (PSP)- I finished Final Fantasy IV and -The Interlude- last month within Complete Collection. This month I’m going to go for the beat on the last game within the collection!

Trine 2: Director’s Cut (WiiUDL)- Time to finally play this game with AF and Shadow100! Took forever for the update to hit, but sometime this month we’ll co-op the game! :3

Potential Games To Buy This Month

Note: Still keeping to my New Years Resolution of one game a month!

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch [Wizard Edition] (PS3)- Oh man oh man oh man….I really want this game, and this special edition looks to be worth it….except people are sky rocketing the prices on Ebay, but I may cave in to buy it.

Rayman Legends (Wii U)- I have greatly enjoyed the demo on Wii U for this! Though I may put this off till next month so that I can Platinum/beat the Vita version of Rayman Origins!

Mother 3 Deluxe Box (GBA)- I’ve been so tempted to get this for three reasons: 1) This series is highly regarded 2) One of my best friends loves this game and 3) This edition would be such a cool collector’s item to have! So tempted by this….as I have been for years!

Week 8/1-8/7 Plans

/: Rayman 3D (3DS)- Not sure how long this will take, but I’ll estimate approximately 20 hours for it.
: Metroid Prime (Wii)- To celebrate Metroid’s 25th Anniversary on Saturday I’ll start and finish a 100% hypermode run of Metroid Prime, which coincidentally is not only my favorite Metroid game, but also my favorite game. :D (Note: I plan to do this all on Saturday…….XD) I’ve been getting into the Metroid mood by playing through Metroid Fusion and Metroid: Zero Mission this past weekend. :)
Fire Emblem (GBA)- Not sure what to do here, but I doubt I’ll finish it this week. I am at the start of Eliwood’s story (20ish chapters left). I’ll probably get a few done this week.
Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition (3DS)- Get up to 15 characters done. This is dragging on a bit, but still it is fun. Too bad I suck at traditional fighting games such as this. :P
Get the last Dead or Alive: Dimensions (3DS) daily spotpass costume. It should have arrived yesterday, and I should receive it once I do the weekly throwdown fight for the figurine on Tuesday. This still will not be complete until November or December when the last throwdown challenge is sent out. Until then it will be the exception to 3 games on my now playing list. ;)
Get a resume and cover letter done. Most jobs I’ve been seeing require this so by Tuesday evening I want to have both of these done. After that I can get those applications done.
Get at least 7 applications from my list done. Green Metroid Needs Job Badly! (Gauntlet reference ftw!) I hope to get this month so that I can get some of the games coming out this holiday…..maybe even a PlayStation Vita! Livin’ la vita loca? :P XD

July Gaming Plans

- Mario Party 2 (VC)- I haven’t touched this game in two months, but I’m too stubborn to take it off my “now playing” list. Once inFamous is done I will probably get back to this.
- inFamous (PS3)- I had this for retail once, but sold it. Now that I own it again thanks to PSN’s Welcome Back program I’m going to beat it this time. My completionists urges won’t let me miss any blast shards. So far the Neon District is complete minus the one blast shard that I needed static thrusters for. The Warren should be finished by Friday, and the beat (along with full evil karma, all dead drops, all blast shards all districts, and all power/upgrades) to be done by Monday. That is assuming that the Historic District is the smallest (which it appears to be based on the map. and the number of blast shards and dead drops in it). I will have to do another playthrough for completegood karma, and miscellaneous trophies another day though (after my PS3 backlog [at 5 games after this] and Final Fantasy XIII is complete)! :D
- Steel Diver (3DS)-Still working on that 3DS backlog I created at launch. Steel Diver is the game to focus on this month. I have the last three missions left. The first of which I just have to have patience to do since sinking this battleship at the end with the two bigger subs without vertical torpedoes is going to be tricky! D:
- The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap (GBA)-Last month saw an EPIC Ocarina of Time 3D marathon, and this month I plan to beat the only Zelda game I never got around to, this! Once Mario Party 2 is off my now playing list (finally) I’ll start this small adventure! :D
- Excitebike: World Rally (WW)- Just need two more bike colors from playing online. Roughly 50 from friend races, and 200 from anyone races.
- Kirby’s Dream Land (VCH)-Downloaded last Saturday, and beat in about an hour. Thankfully there is and extra/hard mode to stretch out the playtime. I’m on the 2nd to last stage currently, but haven’t given it a go yet. I suspect this will be done once I free up sometime that inFamous and Naruto are sucking currently.
- Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 (PS3)-While the internet was down this past week this game and Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition (with my cousin) were played. Both were beat with completion on the latter somewhere down the…..HA yeah right! Anyways as for Naruto I just have 3 regular trophies yet. The two online ones I’ll get while getting the trophy for all the titles. As for the titles I need to get all the bonus requirements done in story mode (which I am in the progress of doing), and then play 30 matches as each character. I have 37 characters to go still……;_;
- Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga (Wii)-The big wildcard of the 8. I know I’ll get it beat this month since I only have Episode VI left, but as for completion I’m pretty burnt out on it still (even though I haven’t played it in a few weeks). Chances are I’ll beat Episode 6 with the 60 minikits and 6 red bricks, but save the last of the completion stuff for another day.

Other Notes

-Dead or Alive: Dimensions-I have done everything currently possible in the game it seems, but I missed one dlc costume (which I can get on the 31st), and need the 19 figurines remaining from the weekly showdown fights from Team Ninja. Completion is inevitable for this! :D

-Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Beta-Even though I’m not in the Uncharted mood I’ll still mess around in the beta while it is up. I’m enjoying it, but still have mixed feelings about the menu system.

-DS RPGs- 7 of the 9 unbeaten games left here are RPGs…..4 being Dragon Quest games! D: I will probably start to get a handle on this starting next month (depending on time/job situation).

-PS3 Backlog Going……Down?- Yes, it could be so! I was at 10 unbeaten in April/May, but I am now starting to break it down. I’m down to 6 currently, but once inFamous is done Sly 2/3, God of War 2/3, and my highly anticipated playthrough of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is all that remain. Maybe if things go well I can squeeze one of those games in here this month! :D

-Metroid Marathon-Not going to be all at once, but a game or two a month most likely to honor Metroid’s 25th Anniversary which is exactly one month away now (August 6th). I will probably start out with a 100% item (already have scans) hypermode run of my favorite game of all time Metroid Prime! :D Another one for next month could be competing Metroid Prime Hunters or Metroid Prime Pinball possibly.

Finalized Nintendo 3DS Launch Plans

Oh Nintendo 3DS, you are so close to being mine! :D Anyways I have finalized plans for that day that I will list below. I may or may not be doing a live stream….I am still debating how/if I will do that. I’m leaning towards not, but we will see. I may just end up doing a Youtube video or a blog post. :P

I will be picking it up at about 11 am on Sunday (since my Gamestop is not opening early for launch). As you guys know I will be picking up the Aqua Blue colored one. I got some hands on time with it at Best Buy, and do not regret my choice! :) I don’t know which game I will try out first. My first goal after sampling each game is to beat Super Monkey Ball 3D and Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars! After that I can start focusing on the missions for Pilotwings Resort and Steel Diver! Bust-a-Move shall be a fun puzzle game to play every now and then I suscpect. Nintendogs + cats: French Bulldog and New Friends I may wait to start since I plan on dedicating a little time each day to play to make it last longer. As for Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition? Well I plan on practicing in that, and playing online with some friends. It’s probably the biggest Wi-Fi game we’ll have in the group until Star Fox 64 3D and Mario Kart 3D are released later this year!

3DS is so close! Stay tuned for more after I get some hands on with the system in all its glory! :D

Nintendo 3DS Launch Plans (2/3)

T-minus two weeks until the launch of the Nintendo 3DS! :D I am riding the hype train all the way past release! :D The Nintendo DS has easily become my most played and favorite systems over the years! :D I have been buying more DS games recently since I feel some sort of rush to get them before the 3DS hits here in the United States! At least I got both Metroid games for it now! (Hint: I love Metroid Prime Pinball so far! :D)

So far here is what is preordered and paid off for the Nintendo 3DS:

Steel Diver
Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition
nintendogs + cats: French Bulldog and New Friends
Pilotwings Resort
Bust-a-Move Universe

Games I’m considering preordering before launch:

Samurai Warriors Chronicles-A maybe (and only if I get the other two)
Super Monkey Ball 3D-The more I see of this the more I want it! :D
Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars-If I have the cash after Super Monkey Ball 3D then I will probably get it! :D

As for post launch games I will probably end up getting those 3 (maybe), Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D, and Dead of Alive Dimensions which releases May 17th. June sees the release of the Galaga/Pacman game, Devil Survivor, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D! :D So by June I will have somewhere around 12 3DS games probably. :P After that it will be time to start preordering this fall/holiday season games like Star Fox 64 3D, Kid Icarus Uprising, Mario Kart 3D, Super Mario, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, and anything else announced at E3 this June! :D

As for launch day exactly my plans are not set in stone. My GameStop is not having a midnight launch. Instead the one outside the mall will be opening at 9AM that morning. I’m not exactly sure, but I may wait and go to the one in the mall at 11AM to hopefully avoid some of the crowd. Although I may not be able to wait those two hours! XD Anyways I am still planning on doing that live stream for most of that day starting at noon, and going until whenever. I am trying to think how I will show you guys gameplay, but I may wait to do that during the stream so that I can see the 3D first! :P After that I’ll turn the 3D off and get the camera near the 3DS to show you guys some gameplay….maybe! :P

I will make a post sometime around the 26th or so to inform you guys of the finalized launch plans. :D
